Search Your Past was established by professional genealogist, Elizabeth Peters, over fifteen years ago.

Prior to this I worked for a number of years as a genealogist for one of the UK’s leading family history research companies. In the past I have also worked as a volunteer answering genealogical enquiries at Canterbury Cathedral Archives and as a volunteer with the Kingston Local History Project and West Surrey Family History Society. With over 25 years personal and professional family history research experience I aim to help overcome your genealogical ‘brickwalls’ or provide a full research service.

 

I have featured in the ‘You The Expert’ section in the National Archives Magazine, Ancestors, and BBC's Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine Q&A Section, as well as in the local newspaper. I have also given several talks to local organisations such as the Women's Institute.
